Frequently Asked Questions

At ProForm Sports Therapy, we want you to feel confident and informed before your session. Here you’ll find answers to common questions about our treatments, what to expect, pricing, and how we help you recover safely and effectively.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch — we’re always happy to help.

Q. What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session includes a full Initial Assessment, where we’ll discuss your symptoms, health history, and movement patterns. This helps identify the root cause of your pain or discomfort. You’ll also receive hands-on treatment during your first visit, so you can start feeling the benefits right away.

Q. What’s the difference between a sports massage and a regular massage?

A sports massage focuses on deeper muscle layers and specific areas of tension, especially those caused by exercise, posture, or repetitive strain. It’s designed to improve mobility, aid recovery, and prevent injury — not just relaxation.

Q. Do you only treat athletes?

Not at all! While many of our clients are active or play sports, we also help people dealing with everyday aches, work-related tension, or long-term pain. Every treatment is tailored to your activity level and comfort.

Q. How much does a session cost?

Our pricing is simple and transparent:

Massage: 30 mins – £30 | 60 mins – £50

Initial Assessment: £40

Follow-Up Assessment: £35

Compression Boots (30 mins): £12.50

Taping: £2.50

LiveWire members receive 10% off massage treatments.
All therapies include ultrasound, heat, manual, and electrotherapy at no extra cost.

Q. How long are the sessions?

Appointments typically last 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your chosen treatment and individual needs. Initial assessments usually take a little longer to allow time for discussion and evaluation.

Q. Do you offer recovery sessions after workouts or sports events?

Yes! Our Compression Boots and Sports Massage sessions are ideal for post-training recovery. They help reduce soreness, improve circulation, and speed up muscle repair so you can perform your best.

Q. Where are you located?

We’re based inside the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub in Warrington — an accessible, modern facility with free parking and easy access to other local amenities.

Q. How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your condition and goals. Some clients feel relief after one session, while others benefit from a short course of treatments. We’ll discuss your progress at each visit and adjust your plan accordingly.
